DEKOMTE expansion joints are installed to fulfill seismic displacements according to RG1-29 with movements in all directions. Higher design pressures, humidity and radiation add to the material durability. Testing to achieve an air tightness for a minimum of 3000 cycles requires a complete design solution with full responsibility of the joint performance.

Flex Seal Retrofit: In the original design the Inconel leaf seal connecting the exhaust diffuser to the HRSG inlet is very close to the end bearing support tunnel. DEKOMTE offers an innovative, integrated solution that gives clearance and reduces heat radiation, to protect the lubricating oil and instrumentation supplies.

DEKOMTE designed, manufactured and turnkey installed an integrated concept of frame, fabric, convectors and external insulation system. Both solutions were designed to integrate with the new cold casing silencer supplied and installed by Braden during the same outage.

DEKOMTE have worked on an engineering solution which surpasses the lone function of the fabric component, and considers how to develop a free envelope of space allowing movement of the duct.
