Life is a dramaturgical performance - without being able to estimate the point in time when the curtain drops. On the 20th April 20113, Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Bernhard de Temple passed on suddenly and unexpectedly. He was a personality who supported DEKOMTE de Temple Kompensator-Technik GmbH for many years with his scientific essays of fabric expansion joint technology and thereby he contributed substance to the technical company culture. By his technical and scientific publications, patents, degree dissertations, that he developped together with his brother, the company founder Günther de Temple, an encyclopedia of fabric expansion joint technology was created. It is an outstanding testimonial of his achievements. Ritualized thinking was alien to him. Prof. Bernhard de Temple replaced it with the curiosity that he retained from his childhood.

Only this makes changes possible.

Am 28.01.2013 wurde der langjährige Rechtsberater und Freund des Unternehmens DEKOMTE de Temple Kompensator-Technik GmbH, Dr. Andreas Maurer, mit dem renommierten Bremer Studienpreis für das Jahr 2012 ausgezeichnet.

Der Preis wurde verliehen für seine Dissertation "Lex Maritima - Grundzüge eines transnationalen Seehandelsrechts".

Dr. Maurer begleitet das Unternehmen DEKOMTE seit vielen Jahren. Parallel zu seinem Studium der Rechtswissenschaften arbeitete Herr Dr. Maurer in der Rechtsabteilung des Unternehmens und konnte frühzeitig bereits praktische Erfahrungen aus der Industrie sammeln.

Seit seinem Abschluss des Studiums ist er für die DEKOMTE in beratender Funktion tätig.

Successful collaboration between Kablitz and DEKOMTE for more than 20 years

In more than 20 years of collaboration between the plant manufacturer Kablitz and DEKOMTE a new milestone has been set in terms of renewable energy. DEKOMTE is supplier of high-tech fabric expansion joints for all important projects of Kablitz. Now a biomass combined heat and power station in the town of Bad Mergentheim in Baden-Württemberg was equipped with high-tech fabric expansion joints. With about 20 000 tons of biomass a thermal performance of 6.5MW and an electrical output of 0.9MW are produced annually by cogeneration of combined heat and power. DEKOMTE expansion joints will also be used for the new construction of the power plant of the urban energy supplier Wiesbaden ESWE, which will also be run on biomass. The power plant with a furnace thermal capacity of about 46MW will be completed by the end of the year 2013 and this is an important step on the way to renewable energy and heat generation: wood waste serves as fuel.

High demand for piping technology in Russia

After participating in the PowerGen Europe in 2005 in Moscow, DEKOMTE was represented with an own booth (3B21) on the exhibition Oil.Gas.Chemistry. in the Russian Perm (region Urals). Due to the geographical location and the rich oil and gas resources in the region there is a high demand for innovative extraction- and piping technology: while the market for fabric expansion joints still has to be developed, the high-quality metallic expansion joints already met with a high degree of interest. The hospitality and the varied cultural programme that was offered to the exhibitors completed the successful fair attendance.
