Continuous Annealing

Rotary transmission leadthroughs through container walls cause specific technical difficulties not only under high pressures and high temperatures but also under low pressures and relatively high temperatures. If shafts or arbors are led through container walls, this is connected with the required sealing between the break-through and the container wall.

The example of the continuous annealing plant shows how the sealing of the shaft leadthrough through the furnace wall is controlled with with gas-cooled fabric soft material expansion joints. By what compared to steel expansion joints costs for maintenance can be minimised.
